The BMA laboratory in Bochum, founded in July 1999, is an independent contract laboratory specializing in the analysis of biological pollutants in indoor spaces and workplaces as well as testing biological parameters as part of product quality control. With accreditation according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 by the DAkkS, the laboratory offers reliable and high-quality testing. The founding idea of the partners Dr. Ute Stephan and Dr. Klaus Klus was to combine the fields of immunology and microbiology in order to provide comprehensive analytical services.

The BMA laboratory’s range of services includes the detection of molds, bacteria and allergens. Both air and material samples are analyzed, for example to identify and evaluate mould contamination in indoor spaces. The laboratory also offers services such as the assessment of microbially contaminated indoor spaces, the taking of samples and the preparation of expert reports with a final assessment of mold contamination.

Another mainstay is the testing of consumer goods and medical products (with a focus on products containing latex). In this area, the range of services includes in particular the detection of proteins, allergens and endotoxins as well as microbiological tests.

The BMA laboratory team consists of qualified specialists, including qualified biologists and technical assistants, who work in various areas such as microbiological indoor analysis, quality management and the analysis of consumer goods.
